About our Team

  1. This program is a Sanctioned Non-Funded High School sport. It is run by the Rochester High School Athletic Departments. The RHSSST Committee is in charge of raising money to help fund the team and to help in the goal of promoting high school Alpine Ski Racing.
    • This program is open to 7th through 12th grade Rochester students that are attending Rochester Public and Private Schools
  2. Dry land training:
    • Held at Dan Abrahams Healthy Living Center 3rd Floor - Schedule is posted on web site.
  3. On-snow training:
    • Held at Welch Village Ski and Snowboard Area on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays until the first week of February. A coach bus will load for practice at 4:15 PM at Best Buy North and leave at 4:30 PM. The bus will plan to be back to Best Buy by 9:30 PM. If practice is cancelled or rescheduled, there will be an announcement on the website and via email. Race day schedules may vary, and will be announced on the website and via email.
  4. Lettering:
    • There is an opportunity for each team member to earn a High School letter.
  5. Fundraising:
    • The RHSSST Committee will sponsor one or more fundraiser throughout the year. It is highly recommended that all team members participate in these fundraisers, to promote a sense of unity among the team.
  6. Costs:
    • $300.00 -- Winter Sports sign-up through your High School (This fee covers: Dry Land Training at the RAC, Lift Tickets for Away Races, Coaching, Gates, Drills, Insurance)
    • $290.00 -- The RHSSST Committee will have a specific fundraiser (i.e. selling cards or buy out) to raise this money. The majority of this money will be used to cover the cost of transportation to all practices and races. This fundraiser is very important to the success of this program.
