Tori Thompson St. Catherine University Division III 2015- Defenseman - 2017-18: As a junior, Thompson earned All-MIAC honors for the second consecutive season, as she was not only the top scoring defenseman on the team, but in the entire MIAC as well. Thompson ended the season with a team-leading 16 points thanks to her three goals and 13 assists, 11 of which were scored against conference opponents. More impressively, Thompson was the top scoring defender in the MIAC. Thompson's two goals, 11 assists and 13 points against MIAC opponents was the top for all active defenders in the conference in 2017-18 and her .72 points per game average led the MIAC by a significant margin. 2016-17: As a sophomore, Thompson earned All-MIAC honors as one of the top defenseman in the MIAC. She led all active defenseman in the conference in points (16) and power play goals (4) and was second in all other offensive categories, including goals (5) and assists (11). Thompson's point total in 2016-17 was the highest by a St. Kate's defender since Becky Clifton tallied 17 in 2012-13. She was also a key weapon on the Wildcats power play, which had one of the highest efficiencies in the MIAC. The sophomore defender accounted for 20% of the Wildcats power play goals, scoring four of the team's 20 total during the season. She also led the MIAC in the same category amongst defenders, both overall and in conference play. 2015-16: In her first season with the Wildcats, Thomspon was one of the top defenseman on both the team and in the conference. The first year defender was sixth on the team in scoring, with six total points and led the team in total assists (6).
