Attendance Policy

Daily practice is the means by which we improve as individual runners and grow stronger as a team.  As such, we place high importance on attendance to all team practices, events, and competitions. Please allow two hours for practice and do not schedule work, appointments, college visits, lessons, etc during this time.

Any absence that is school related that is communicated in advance by either a written note, email, Remind or GroupMe message to the athlete's lead coach or the head coach, Dakota Hiller, is considered excused. Any absence not communicated in such a manner will be considered an unexcused absence.

DO NOT CALL THE ATHLETIC OFFICE TO REPORT AN ABSENCE.

Three or more unexcused absences will be considered as a  conversation with the head coaches and possibly dismissal from the team.

If the coaching staff feels that your attendance becomes a distraction to the benefit of others, then you may be asked to leave the team. Communication is vital, and a workable solution can usually be found. It is our experience that most athletes that have a problem with attendance usually have over-committed themselves to other activities.
