More Team Building

Individual squads are encouraged to coordinate their own team-building activities throughout the season. Ideas include more pasta feeds at parent homes and goal kick competitions at Weatherstone Park.

Annual Pasta Feed

This season's official Team Pasta Feed is on Friday 9/6 @ Lincolnshire Park. All coaches and players are invited to attend immediately following the B/C Squad practice at 7 pm. Booster parents will serve a simple, buffet-style meal so everyone can hang out, talk strategy and carb up for Saturday's matchup with Farmington.

Homecoming Parade

This year's theme is "Champions League". Players will ride/walk behind an F-150 truck donated by Rochester Ford and throw candy to their fans.

Date: Friday 9/29/23
Time: 3:30 pm - gather at truck parked in spot #14
Location: Goose Egg Park
Wear: Pro soccer team jersey
Bring: 1 bag of candy (Halloween size)

Participation is voluntary. Middle school players find their own transportation to Goose Egg Park. High school players walk to Goose Egg Park together after pep fest at JM. The parade ends at JM - that's where parents can pick up their players.

NO PRACTICES afterward. Enjoy the football game!

Family Day/Night

All Rochester kids are invited to wear their favorite soccer jerseys and get free admission to our JV and Varsity home games on Tuesday, 9/10 @ JM Stadium. At half-time, they are invited onto the field to kick goals just like the big guys.

Senior Night

This year's Senior Night is on Thursday, October 3. Senior players and their loved ones stand on the field at halftime during the Varsity game and wave as fans cheer. Each player is introduced by name and jersey number and thanked for his contributions to the team. Loved ones, in turn, receive a flower or small gift from their player as a token of appreciation for the support they've given him over the years.

Ceremony Process:

  1. Loved ones line up by the senior banners 10 minutes before halftime.
  2. At halftime, they enter the field together, keeping a space between each group.
  3. The announcer calls a player's name and jersey number.
  4. The player runs through a team tunnel and joins his group of loved ones on the field.
  5. Everyone stays on the field until every player has been introduced and every group has been photographed.
  6. Everyone exits the field together.

"Loved ones" are parents, grandparents, sisters, brothers, girlfriends, mentors, teachers, coaches, guardians, friends, neighbors, etc. They get free admission to both JV and Varsity games on Senior Night (tell the ticket booth that's why you're there).

End-of-Season Banquet

Coach Abdul is hosting an end-of-season potluck dinner for players and their families on Monday 11/6 at 6:30 pm in Dakota Middle School's cafeteria.  Each player is responsible for bringing something to share:

V = Entrees
JV = Salads and Fruit
B = Desserts
C= Drinks

Coaches and captains will hand out letters, awards and senior gifts.
