1. Athletes are expected to participate in all practices and meets, including Saturday. Athletes are also expected to be on time and prepared everyday.
2. Any absence from a practice or meet must be reported to the head coach in advance or before the end of the day. An unreported absence from a practice or meet may result in dismissal from the team.
3. Absences are excused if notification is received in advance, or by the end of the day, for an illness, family emergency, religious obsevation, or mandatory school event. All other absences are considered unexcused.
4. Athletes with THREE or more absences are not eligible to compete in the Big 9 Championships or Section 1AAA Championships. Athletes not prepared for practice will be considered unexcused.
5. Athletes are expected to attend their academic classes all day, every day. Any unexcused classroom absence will result in missing the next scheduled competition and be considered unexcused.
6. Suspension from school for any reason is considered unexcused and the athlete may be dismissed from the team.
7. Excused and unexcused absences may affect participation in upcoming competitions.
8. Injured athletes are either with the trainer or at practice. Anyone requesting to see the athletic trainer must report to practice for attendance and then report to the athletic trainer, returning as soon as possible.
9. Rehabilitation is considered practice. Injured athletes must follow rehabilitation guidelines established by the athletic trainer. Failure to follow athletic trainer directives will result in automatic dismissal from the team.
