Season Information

Tryouts August 12-14 at Lincolnshire. 

Practices Times:

  •  Aug 12-14 Tryouts 
    • 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Varsity/JV tryouts in the morning. All squads in the afternoon.)
  • Aug 19-End (All Squads) 4:30-6:30 PM.

Scrimmages/ Games:

  • Aug 17th: Varsity and JV vs Pine Island  @ JM Stadium. Varsity plays at 11:00 AM, and JV plays at 12:30 PM. 
  • August 26th: First game @ 2 Rivers. (Team Bonding at MOA afterwards)
  • A tentative schedule is posted under the schedule tab.

Equipment

  • Players should bring soccer cleats, shin guards, and water bottle to all sessions.
  • Game uniforms and warm-ups will be provided by the high school, to be returned to the school at the end of the season.
  • All players will be required to purchase socks that are kept by the players. Socks can be purchased from the player's coach.

  • Team bonding event at Chip Shots first week of August. The exact date is TBD. 
  • Mall of America Trip after 2 Rivers game August 27th

Team expectations

  • All teams will follow the same expectations and player handbook.
  • All tryouts, practices, and games are mandatory. Players should plan accordingly and schedule study time, work, vacations, appointments, etc. to avoid conflicts with their soccer schedules.
    • Missing tryouts will impact team placement and coaches will need to make decisions on prior knowledge.
    • Missing a practice or being 20 minutes late prior to a game will result in not being able to start the next game.
    • Missing a game will result in missing 1st half of the next game.
  • Effort
    • 100% effort is to be expected at all games and practices. Not giving your best effort may result in less playing time.
  • Respect
    • All players should respect other players, coaches, and referees. We are a family!!!

Team Socks

Each player will purchase a pair of black and White Nike socks for the 2024 season. Socks must be purchased from their coach and will cost $8.00 per pair. Cash or Checks made out to JM Girls Soccer.
