Earning A Varsity Letter

To earn a varsity letter, you must earn 8 points during the course of the season.

• Run in a varsity meet                                                                        (1 point)

• Run in a sectional meet                                                                     (1 point)

• Run in the state meet                                                                        (1 point)

• Place in the top 25% of a varsity meet                                              (1 point)

• Place in the top 25% of a JV meet                                                    (1 point)

• Compete in all 10 regular season meets                                           (1 point)

• Cut time off career PR from previous year                                        (1 point/minute)

• 150+ mile club member                                                                     (1 point)

• Recruit 1 person to join the team                                                      (1 point/person)

• Senior and compete in 70% of regular season meets and makes a positive contribution to the team                                                        (8 points)
