Rochester John Marshall High School Athletics

First week of the "game" season, and so far every game has been rescheduled due to weather issues.  Which raises the question, "How do I get notified when games are postponed, rescheduled, or cancelled"?

Any changes to games because of weather are normally made by Noon, after the host and visiting school ADs as well as the coaches discuss.  Those changes are communicated:

• Updates to official team schedules on big9.org website.  You can get to the JM athletic calendar on big9.org thru this link.
   
• Use the NotifyMe button on the upper right on the big9.org calendar to be informed of updates. You can subscribe for reminders, and to be notified of changes. Notifications can be via email and/or text messages.
   
• Updates to the team website (see here). The team website main page will be updated along with updates to the calendar entries.
   
• Notification on the @jmfastpitch twitter feed.  If you do twitter, follow @jmfastpitch and you will get these notifications.
   
• Announcements at both John Marshall and John Adams.  These announcements are usually towards the end of the day, so often checking the web or twitter will get you the info sooner.

If game is cancelled on a given day, expect to have practice instead.  This means you must be prepared.

As a last resort you can contact the athletic office or your daughter's coach. But at least check the web sites, twitter, etc before calling.
