Distance Learning/ Sports COVID-19 Updates

Hi JM Athletics Community,

We are gearing up to start the Winter Sports Season and I wanted to post the recommendations from the state health department regarding participation in sport going forward. Please note that wearing a mask will be required for participation except for some sport specific exceptions. Please see full document regarding mask wearing and sport here:

https://www.health.state.mn.us/diseases/coronavirus/sportsjan4.pdf

Please review it and know that these changes are the best way for us to participate in the sports we love with less risk to ourselves and others. Everyone will struggle with these changes, but we MUST do our best to keep the community healthy so that we can continue to have sports! Please let me know how I can help you during this time!

Best Regards,

Kaylan Groen, LAT

Link to an Article : The Role of an Athletic Trainer in the High School

A good description of what I do here at JMHS. A good read if you are interested in the profession or just curious about what I do here at JM besides just cover practices and games! Enjoy!

How to meet up with JM's Athletic Trainer

Due to COVID-19, please call, text, or email Kaylan to set up a time to be seen. To adhere to social distance and safety precautions, only a limited amount of athletes can be in the training room area. Urgent injuries will be given priority as they come in. You must wear a mask during your entire visit in the athletic training room and while in the high school building. Thank you!
