Dear John Marshall Athletics Community,
It is with mixed emotions that I write this message to let you know that I have accepted a full-time clinical athletic trainer position at Mayo Sports Medicine. This means that there will be a new face providing your sports medicine needs next fall. This change is bittersweet. I have loved working with all of the athletes, families, and coaches here at JM. I came here in 2012 and felt at home immediately and feel truly blessed to have been able to be a part of this athletic program and community this long. Please know that this change was a hard decision for me and that I will miss working with the athletes in this community very much. I am excited for a new challenge and to have a little bit more of a regular schedule as my children start to be involved with their own activities. I have no doubt that the next athletic trainer that takes this job will enjoy working with you all just as much as I have. I will be finishing out the spring season and my official end date is June 9 with John Marshall High School. Thank you making me a part of your community, it has been truly amazing. I look forward to filling in here and there when needed, and attending games as a spectator. I will always be a Rocket.
Best Regards,
Kaylan Groen, LAT

A good description of what I do here at JMHS. A good read if you are interested in the profession or just curious about what I do here at JM besides just cover practices and games! Enjoy!
