Brooktree Golf Course Location:
The Cross Country meet is run on the upper nine part of Brooktree Golf Course located on Crestview Lane in Owatonna. Athletes and spectators are not allowed in the clubhouse on the lower nine hole part of the course.
Bus Leave Times:
3:55pm - Girls JV
5:05pm - Girls Varsity
* Middle school race is two laps and after the boys varsity race (boys race at 5:35pm - So guessing the middle school race will be around 5:55pm)
Parking is along Crestview Lane. Please be advised that there may be some parking restrictions as this is in a residential area. There is some parking available at Mineral Springs Park which is located near the clubhouse on Cherry Street. If you park at Mineral Springs, there is a walking path that goes from the clubhouse to the upper part of the course.
Please remind your athletes and team spectators to keep off residential property and not block driveways when parking.
Teams can set up camps along the north side of the course near the start/finish area. Please make sure your camps, tents and tarps are located well away from the finish chute so you don't interfere with the timer. Please keep your athletes off adjoining residential properties.
Several porta-potties will be located in the parking lot at the course entrance.
Footballs and Frisbees are not allowed on the course.
Boom boxes, speakers and other noise making items are not allowed on the course. This is also stated in the MSHSL policies for Cross Country. We had complaints about this from neighbors along the course last year.
Please clean up the area around your team camp before you leave. Garbage cans will be located near team camp areas.
Finish Area: Coaches, please help keep the roped off finish area clear of team members not competing so they don't interfere with the race results.
Uniforms: Please see the attached uniform rules. They will be followed at this meet.
Check in: Please stop by the brown Toyota Highlander when you arrive to pick up your team bibs. Course maps, starting box assignments and race schedules will be available.
Starting box assignments will be sent out a week prior to the meet. Please return all unused bibs.
Top 10 in each race will receive an award. We plan on having a short awards presentation right after the finish of the middle school race. Please gather your teams by the area west of the finish chute. Individual medals and team trophies will be presented.
Concession sales will be available at the meet in the parking lot by the course entrance.
Elementary School Run:
The Owatonna elementary PE teachers will be doing their annual mile Cross Country run at 3:30. Please help keep the course open for them.
A certified trainer will be onsite during the meet.

We are able to final bring the tradition back! Pasta feeds serve as a great way to gather as a team and socialize the day before a meet. Each event is held at the home of a team member, but can also be held at the school. Each pasta feed has one host and one or more helpers. If you are interested in volunteering to host or help with a pasta feed, please use the link below to sign-up for a day! We appreciate all of you willing to host and help out with these :)
